WPlus9 | Stamping Holiday Scenes. Video

Hello there! A few days ago I shared a fun video over on WPlus9 blog – Stamping Scenes Using Multiple Stamp Sets. In case you are not a WPlus9 blog subscriber I’m sharing it here as well.

While I enjoy playing with individual stamp sets I also love to combine and mix images from various sets to stretch my creativity. Today I am mixing images from All Year Cheer and Be Merry Florals to create a set of fun Christmas Robins cards.

CARDS DETAILS

I started working on these cards by die cutting bird shapes out of white paper. I find it is easier for me to first die cut this shape and later do my stamping, this way I don’t have to guess where I need to add bird’s legs. I used two shades of red and two shades of gray to stamp these and add some color variation to my robins (I’m listing all ink colors below).

To stamp the backgrounds I used branch image from the All Year Cheer set and stamped it repeatedly onto A2 top folding card fronts using Coconut Husk ink. I also added red ornaments – I used little flower circles from the same All Year Cheer set and also stamped holly leaves from the Be Merry Florals set.

Since these cards were rather simple I used glitter glue and glossy accents to add some fun accents to my birds, ornaments and berries. I added Stickles glitter glue in Star Dust to the small ornaments and coated eyes, berries and ornaments with glossy for a raized and shiny effect.
