WPlus9 | Silver Foiled Accents on Flowers

I few days ago I shared a video tutorial and several cards featuring foiled accents technique and I mentioned I had a lot of left over die cut and foiled pieces. I put them to a good use and created another card I’d like to share in this post (I still have plenty of these pieces left, good to make a few more cards).

I first created a stamped floral pattern using images from Fresh Cut Florals and More Fresh Cut stamp sets and two inks colors – Hayride as well as Fairy Dust (its a very light gray, you can barely see it on the photo). I love stamping patterns like this one – so it was a pure treat for me. I made sure to leave the area where my sentiment was going to be free from stamping.

Next I added a felt Hello die cut and heat embossed I Miss You in silver embossing powder. From there I was able to begin clustering flower and leaf die cuts that I had left from making these cards.

I foam mounted my stamped panel over a light gray card base and added a narrow strip is silver glitter tape. Since I used silver foiled images – silver glitter tape was a good choice for this card. I couldn’t resist adding several clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh as little accents onto this project.

TO RE-CREATE THIS CARD:

1. Make a light gray A2 top folding card base.
2. Create a white cardstock panel and stamp flowers and leaves in yellow and light gray.
3. Die cut and adhere a felt hello and heat emboss “I Miss You”
4. Create flower and leaf images and add foiled accents to them following this video tutorial and adhere onto the panel.
5. Foam mount the panel onto a card base, add a strip of silver glitter tape. Add additional flowers and leaves.
6. Embellish with sequins.
