Hello, friends. Have you seen the new release from WPlus9? Dawn always designs the most gorgeous products and then makes the most amazing cards using them. While I don’t have the brand new stamps from WPlus9, I do have a set from last Summer I haven’t had the chance to play with – Thinking of You. I’ve been meaning to create something pretty using it for a long time now but never had the time. Well, now amidst the quarantine, all I have is time on my hands, so I finally stamped a simple, yet pretty card.

CARD DETAILS
Dawn, the owner of WPlus9, has quite a talent for gorgeous freestyle flowers. I have many of her floral stamps in my stash and I treasure them dearly. The Thinking of You set, I feel, is one of those I’ll be reaching for over and over again as these dainty flowers are simply amazing.
You can stamp the flower outlines using black ink, but I opted to use the darker shade and skipped using any black on this card. I used several colors of ink from WPlus9 for my stamping, although any pretty ink colors will do. I used the following: Cockleshell, Bloomsberry, Hayride, Wild Mango, Pumpkin Spice, Shell Pink, Little Piggy, Sweet Gelato, Last Leaf. I also used Forever Green, a nice dark green from Hero Arts.
The stamp set does come with a beautiful Thinking of You sentiment, but I wanted to make a Birthday card instead, so I used one of my foiled sentiments and foiled on that reads “Happy Birthday” using gold foil and white cardstock.
I also added a pretty foiled circle using my Foliage Border set (I stamped additional flowers onto the circle and especially overlapping some of the foiling). And added a dotted foiled border around the entire panel using a new Essential Rectangle glimmer plate set.
I love how the foil adds an elegant touch to the dainty stamped flowers, it looks simply amazing. I cut the panel to 4 x 5 1/4″ and foam mounted onto the A2 gray card base. I also foam mounted the foiled circle and to add dimension to the sentiment I die-cut several and stacked them together using glue.
I also used several sequins from the Sunken Treasure sequins mix from Simon to embellish this card.
I don’t really have anyone with an upcoming birthday (I didn’t make this card for anyone in mind, just for fun), but it’s always good to have a spare Birthday card on hand, just in case.
