Today I have a rather unusual post for you. First of all I finally managed to do a video in English, so you’ll be able to not only watch, but also to listen to me talk 🙂 .
So today I’m sharing several watercolour tags I made recently which can be used as gift tags or as an embellishment for a card. I have an example of what I mean below.
Watercolour seems to be incredibly popular lately in cardmaking and scrapbooking, so I decided to give this technique a try and make some tags.
I first made several Christmas tags using different supplies (from those that you see here) as I was in the Christmas mood, but than I quickly switched to a spring colour pallet and watercolour technique. I finally bought special watercolour paper, and oh my! It worked really great for my project!
I made about ten tag, here’s the first one I made. It actually inspired me to make the rest of my tags and to do a video:
To create the watercolour background I used Distress markers from Ranger. I really like colours of these markers and the way they react with water. They are perfect for creating backgrounds and colouring images.
So here’s the video of how I made the tags with my English narrative, I hope I didn’t make too many mistakes there 😀 . Please excuse my English as its not my first language.
And here are the rest of my tags:
Like I said before – these tags can be used as gift tags or as an embellishment on card. Here’s an example – a card with a tag as a main element:
