Hello there! You have probably already seen WPlus9 March 2017 release (if you haven’t yet, be sure to check out my video here) and I’m excited to share some more inspiration using Modern Petunias stamp set.

CARD DETAILS
As soon as I spotted Modern Petunias stamp set I felt immediately inspired to create! Petunias come in a variety of colors and even patterns – white, pink, purple, yellow, even black. If you have trouble visualizing them – search for petunias on Pinterest, I always find this to be very helpful.
To create this card I first stamped flowers and leaves using Simon Says Stamp Intense Black ink and cut images out using companion dies in my Platinum 6″ Die Cutting Machine. I went with Intense black as it’s an alcohol marker friendly ink and I wanted to do coloring using Copics.
I used just a handful of colors – RV14, RV13 and RV10 to color flowers and YG67, YG17 and YG03 to color leaves.
After heat embossing “Thanking Of You” sentiment in gold embossing powder onto Oatmeal cardstock I also heat embossed additional flowers and leaves onto the background to add some interest to my card.
I foam mounted flowers and a few leaves and used glue to adhere the rest. I also heat embossed the edge of my main panel to give it a nice gold finish and later foam mounted it onto an A2 top folding card.
Lastly, I embellished my card using clear droplets in small and medium sizes.
