Simon Says Stamp | STAMPtember(R) Altenew exclusive – Be Kind.

Even though the month of September, I mean STAMPtember(R), is over I am still enjoying Simon’s STAMPtember(R) products! I’d like to share another card using Altenew exclusive Layered Flowers stamp set.

I used a small flower from this set and created a simple floral background. I used bright, bold colors as I wanted to create a retro look for this card. I was inspired by retro dress images I found on Pinterest and tried to create the look of fabric for my background.

I stamped flowers using Altenew’s Frosty Pink, Coral Berry and Ruby Red ink colors. The middle layer was stamped in Coral Berry and also in Ruby Red (the last one was slightly offset to allow the lighter pink to show through). For the last layer I used clear embossing ink and Hero Arts Copper Embossing Powder.

The same color of embossing powder was used to heat emboss a sentiment. I used a beautiful “Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle” one.

My stamped and heat embossed panel was trimmed using Simon’s Stitched Rectangle die and foam mounted onto a red card base using Scrapbook Adhesive’s Foam Squares.
