Hello, everyone! I had absolutely no idea Altenew would be releasing an exclusive stamp set for the STAMPtember(R) event with Simon Says Stamp. This ended up being a very pleasant surprise for me! I love Altenew stamps and Altenew + SSS exclusive is no different! I’ve already made two cards, sharing one today and one more as soon as I finish editing my video.
So for this card I went with a rather unusual (for me) color combination. I stamped my flowers onto Neenah Solar White cardstock using purples and used browns for the leaves. I wanted to do something unexpected and therefore used these unusual colors. Florals were stamped using Hero Arts Light to Dark Purple ombre ink pad as well as SSS Thistle ink. For the leaves I used Hero Arts Sand to Chocolate ombre ink. I quite like this color combination, I think it looks very elegant and a bit vintage, too.
These stamps do not have matching dies, but nonetheless I cut the flowers out using scissors. I did a bit of die cutting for this card starting with an oval. I also cut a little envelope out of Spellbinders Lovely Lavender Cardstock. I used Scrapbook Adhesive’s Extreme Double-Sided Tape to adhere it. I did some stamping on the oval (added a few more leaves) and foam mounted the envelope and also these flowers onto my oval.
The die cut oval was also foam mounted onto a Neenah Desert Storm Cardstock. I stamped leaves onto my background to fake the look of patterned paper. This panel was also die cut using Simon’s Stitched Rectangle die.
Finally I foam mounted my piece onto chocolate card base. I also added some natural twine and a little wooden peg. The card was embellished using several brown enamel dots and glitter on top of flowers.
So happy I got to play with this yet another gorgeous set from Altenew!
Simon left the best collaboration product by the end of Stamptember. This set is amazing!!!
