Hello friends! I’ve been very much into very simple stationery-like one layer cards lately. For some reason I no longer have the desire to add a bunch of layers, use a ton of foam adhesive and make my cards dimensional. I’m sure it’s just a phase and will soon pass, but I have to say – I’m surely enjoying it!

CARD DETAILS
Today I have a one-layer Halloween card to share featuring lots of stamping in black! This is two-tone card using just black alcohol-marker friendly ink and orange Copic markers. It doesn’t get simpler than this!
I started making this card by stamping the sentiment in the center of my panel first. I combined several messages from the BWAHAHA stamp set by Simon Says Stamp and stamped BWAHAHA, Boo, Trick or Treat Smell My Feet, Give Me Something Good To Eat!!
Next, I used haunted house image and partially stamped in coming in from the edges of the card creating a frame of some sort. I made sure to use alcohol marker friendly ink as I wanted to color windows using my Copic markers to add some color this card. I used YR04 and YR15 markers to do that.
Once my stamping was done I adhered my panel onto an A2 white side folding card base and called this card done!
P.S. I painted a new photo backdrop specifically for this card. This is something I like doing from time to time – I just used several inexpensive paints, a piece of dry wall cut to a smaller size and a sponge. I’m looking forward to using this background for some additional cardmaking photography in the future.

Very effective card!
What a fun card! Do you celebrate Halloween in Ukraine? I too have been getting away from adding dimension to cards lately. I don’t make Halloween or Thanksgiving/fall cards, but I’ve been really busy lately making … ready for it! … Christmas cards. Can’t wait to see what you come up with this year. I’ve already made over 60 cards and the ideas just keep spilling out of me. Thank goodness for the card drive I participate in. Oh what fun!!!!! Happy Sunday to you.
thank you, Debbie! We don’t celebrate Halloween in Ukraine in general, but youth would host parties or gathering or such. We don’t go trick or treating. It goes as far as having a costume party with friends.
Happy Sunday!
What a fun Halloween card!!
I love your card! The haunted house looks so fun all around the edge of the card 🙂 Your photo backdrop is really cool!
I really like your card. And the sentiment is too cute!
