CARD DETAILS – PENCIL COLORING
If you’ve been following me for some time you know that I enjoy coloring. For the 2 cards I’m sharing today I used Polychromos pencils by Faber Castell and Copic markers. First up I have a card done using Polychromos pencils.
I started working on this project by stamping and heat embossing in Antique Gold embossing powder a sentiment that reads: “Thanks for always thinking of me“.
Next, without masking, I stamped the flower from the Beautiful Flowers 2 stamp set, covered it with same Antique Gold embossing powder and brushed away the section that overlapped my sentiment.
I used my Polychromos pencils in just a handful of colors and quickly colored the flower. If you are new to Polychromos pencil – I have a lot of videos on my Youtube channel talking about them and explaining how they work.
Once my coloring was done I heat embossed additional flowers in the bottom left and top right corners to fill my background. I didn’t color those, but left them as is just heat embossed in Gold. Finally, I trimmed my panel, inked up the edges and heat embossed them in same embossing powder for a dipped in paint look.
I foam mounted my colored and heat embossed panel onto an A2 white card base and embellished my card using several gold confetti from Pretty Pink Posh.
CARD DETAILS – ALCOHOL MARKER COLORING
For my 2nd card for today I used my Copic markers to color. This is a one layer card and it was very easy to make.
Instructions:
- Stamp floral arrangement from Beautiful Flowers 2 stamp set in alcohol marker friendly ink coming off the edge of a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2″ panel.
- Stamp sentiment from the Spiritual Sentiments set in same black ink
- Color flowers, leaves and hearts using Copic markers. I used: RV89, RV27, RV24, RV22, G99, G94, YG03.
- Adhere colored panel onto A2 white card base.
- Coat colored flowers with Tonic Studios Aqua Shimmer pen.
