Hello, everyone! I’m guesting over on Waffle Flower Blog today sharing a video about stamping with chalk ink on dark papers. Here’s a look at my project:
Chalk inks are something in between dye and pigment inks and have a lot of great properties. Chalk inks work very well on dark colors of cardstock. For the card I’m sharing today I used a dark grey cardstock and stamped a simple background using several colors of chalk ink from the Fall and Winter blends ink pads from Waffle Flower Crafts. I like how vibrant these look on dark papers (they also work well on white cardstock) and how well they overlap.
I used several stamp sets from Waffle Flower Crafts for the card I’m sharing today – I started with Hibiscus and heat embossed What Makes You Different Make You Unique sentiment using Hero Arts Gold embossing powder. I like that this is a two part sentiment and one part has a handwritten-like font.
I used greenery from the Leafy stamp set and stamped my background using greens, browns and violets. I also added little dragonflies from the Lotus stamp set stamped in grey. I’m also sharing a video tutorial showing to make this card and also talking a bit more about chalk inks. You can watch it here or on Youtube.
Yana,I like your card and congratulations on having this new domain!
thank you, Marina!
Another lovely card! And more up my alley. Although I love watching you colour, I’m just horrible at it.
