Have you seen the new die cutting and embossing machine from Spellbinders? It is called Sapphire and it is a little beauty! I’ve had this machine for about 2 month now and I’m absolutely in love! Its small, its portable, its lightweight and its able to cut a lot of the dies I already have (dies that are up to 2 1/4″ wide). If you are like me and do a lot of traveling this is a perfect option for you!
Spellbinders is hosting a Partner Blog Hop introducing this machine and the new line of dies and giving you the opportunity to win a Sapphire machine! For Blog Hop details and rules please click here.
I want to share one of the cards I created using the new Sapphire collection – You’re The Best. I’ve used dies from a few sets – Mini Hearts PHD-005 and Mini Scalloped Hearts PHD-006 as well as Birds and Butterflies PHS-507.
I started working on this card by die cutting and embossing several butterflies from the Birds and Butterflies PHS-507 set. I’ve cut the largest one and the smallest one out of gold mirror cardstock, and used grey cardstock for the medium sized one.
I had to snap a photo of me using the machine – its just tiny and precious! Love it to pieces!
And you know why its called Sapphire? There’s a cute little gem added to the handle, so cute! You can see it on the photo below:
I also die cut two hearts for my card – a regular and a scalloped one, adhered one on top of the other and added onto my project. I finished making this card by adding a simple sticker sentiment and two metallic accent pieces.
Thank you for stopping by today! Happy crafting!

Your card is absolutely gorgeous. I love the birds and butterflies dies. I think I just may have to get those. Thanks so much for sharing.
thank you! these new dies are so cute! Spellbinders used to have a butterfly like that in a different set, it was larger, its nice to have a smaller version too.

Hi, Yana, this is my first visit to your blog, as I found you through your Jennifer McGuire video. You have such a great site and I’m looking forward to many future visits. I’ve even put your site as its own link on my iPad screen so I can get here easily, which I do with my favorite crafters.
