Happy Tuesday, friends! Boy, these past few days have been hectic! I mentioned I was getting a new car – everything went well and I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. I’ve been driving around a lot these past 3 days, running errands and such. I’m really enjoying my new wheels.
Today I have a new Christmas card to share, part of my impromptu “It’s a Christmas Season” mini-series. I’m having such a wonderful time making these Christmas cards – there is no pressure to get it done, there is plenty of time before the Holiday season, the products I am using are really inspiring and my mind is bursting with card ideas!
This is the 7th post from my impromptu “It’s a Christmas Season” mini-series here on my blog. See the 1st post here, 2nd one here, 3rd one here, 4ht post is here, 5th post is here, 6th post is here.

CARD DETAILS & INSTRUCTIONS
This card was made using left-over die cuts from making these 2 Christmas tree cards. I just die-cut some additional leaves and poinsettias to use as tree ornaments and added a foiled border and banner to pull it all together.
Follow these steps to re-create this card:
- Foil “Merry Christmas” border in gold foil on white cardstock. Die-cut the panel using a rectangle die. Foam mount panel onto the A2 black card base.
- Die-cut the tree layers from 3 shades of blue cardstock. Arrange on the panel and adhere in place with foam adhesive squares (I used small squares to be able to hide them well under the die cuts).
- Die-cut poinsettia from 2 shades of red cardstock and leaves from green cardstock. Assemble and decorate the tree.
- Add jewels in blue as additional Christmas tree ornaments.
- Foil “Fa La La La” in gold on red cardstock, cut out using a banner die, and adhere to card. Enjoy!
I am yet to use the Santa Drive with Santa dies as intended, meanwhile, I’m using the little poinsettias and leaves from the set to embellish my other Christmas cards. I’m glad to have these tiny die cut embellishments – they add a lot of interest and detail.
Do you prefer this card on a white background or the other Christmas Tree cards on black?

Love your burst of colors matched with the gold border!!! Gorgeously decorates with the mini leaves and red flowers!! You are so clever using leftovers!! And congratulations on your new car!!! Enjoy the ride!!
Whooo Hooo, I am so glad your new car is delighting you! Beautiful card, Yana – The foiled accents are beautiful, as is the tree and the tiny poinsettias. The tree on the black card is very striking, butI prefer this one!
Yana, your cards are always gorgeous! That’s why I have you bookmarked. I especially want to thank Spellbinders for offering such beautiful stand a-lone dies that make beautiful cards, with products I already own. SO many stamps being produced today require coloring of some type. I’m an inky stamper at heart but have been loving all the amazing dies too! Thank you for giving us a world of beautiful inspiration!
