Hello, friends! You’re The Best – this is a guy card I made recently using a set of dies from Spellbinders full of all sorts of tools: hammer, wrench, screwdriver – you name it!

CARD DETAILS
Masculine cards are always tough to make, but the new Toolbox die set makes it super easy to create fun cards for guys and boys. This card design can be easily adapted to be a Father’s Day card, a Birthday Card for a guy or simple masculine encouragement project (or even a “Thank You For Helping Me Put My Couch Together” kind of card). All you need to do is pick the right sentiment!
I started working on this card by picking out a color palette, I went with Blue Mist, Pale Aqua, Tropical Sea and Navy from My Colors Cardstock and I also used white. I added a layer of Stick It adhesive to the two lightest cardstock colors – Blue Mist and Pale Aqua and die-cut and embossed a number of tools (hammer, wrench and pliers); arranged them on A2 top folding white card base and adhered in place to create a pattern.
I also die-cut a toolbox out of darkest blue, navy, and a few more tools out of other colors of cardstock. After I arranged tools in the toolbox, I foam mounted it onto a die cut circle and foam mounted that onto a card.
Lastly, I added “You’re The Best” sentiment stamped in black ink and adhered a few enamel dots in coordinating colors.
