Hello there! I wanted to share another short and sweet video about a product or collection I happen to like.

This time I’m sharing about a fun collection of dies recently released by Spellbinders – Market Fresh. It’s a fun line of fruits and vegetables (and some fun sentiments, too) that are awesome for fresh cards. I had the pleasure of playing with these products and I loved them!

CARDMAKING INSPIRATION

I couldn’t resist playing with this collection and creating a few juicy cards (I have a fun strawberry shaker card coming to Spellbinders blog soon), I’m sharing them below.

I mentioned Make Mine Lemon Lime dies are my favorite from this collection, so naturally I reached for this die set first.

I die cut 3 full lemons and one lemon slice out of yellow, green and brown cardstock. I tried to make every lemon slightly different by adding one or two leaves and a brown stem. I also added a bit of ink blending to add some shading and make these appear a bit more dimensional.

I used Spellbinders oval die and die-cut a window in a light gray cardstock panel. I added a sheet of woodgrain patterned paper (I had it for a long time and unfortunately I don’t remember which paper pad it came from) and adhered onto an A2 top folding card base made out of white cardstock.

I clustered and foam mounted my die cut lemons on top. To create a sentiment I used Jillibean Soup Lemonade stamp set and stamped “When Life Gives You Lemons” onto white paper and “Make Lemonade” onto yellow. I also stamped a black straw and inserted it in between my die cut lemons as if was coming from a glass of lemonade.

To finish this card I used a white gel pen and added little accents to leaves and also adhered small and medium clear droplets.

Here’s another card I made, identical layout but using a different die – Apple A Day:

I also die-cut a simple “Hello” out of white paper and fun foam and adhered the two together to make a dimensional die cut using Stick It. For my sentiment I used “You’re The Apple Of My Pie” from a stamp set from Simon Says Stamp.

I wanted to mention that as of September 2016 I am working as a trainee at Spellbinders office in Phoenix. While I do a lot of work for them and create lots of different projects I am only sharing what I truly love made using their products here on my blog.
