Spellbinders | Kaleidoscope Arch Cards. Video

Hello crafty friends! I’m sharing 2 card ideas with the Spellbinders Kaleidoscope Arch collection. This is a small collection, there are only 4 products, I’m only using one for my cards – the Stitched Kaleidoscope Arch die set.

The main piece in this set cut this decorative half circle. You can use this die with or without the insert, I’ve used it with the insert and the insert is what adds the stitching holes so that you can stitch it. Or not stitch it if you don’t like stitching.

CARD DETAILS

I did tone-on-tone stitching using the DMC 301 thread on Spellbinders Wild Berry cardstock. I also added a sentiment created using BetterPress plates. I am in love with the BetterPress system and the BetterPress sentiments, so I used the betterpress sentiments, but of course, I didn’t press them, I foiled them instead.

There are also cute little flower dies included in this set and who doesn’t love flowers? These are similar to other flowers from Spellbinders, but they are also different. I’ve cut some from colored cardstock, my color combo for this card is very bold and vibrant – I have the hot pink happening here, this is the spellbinders Wild Berry, also blue, this is Spellbinders Indigo, and very dark purple, that is the Spellbinders Plum.

I don’t have any green here, I replaced the greens with browns and I have the Spellbinders Dune, which is the lighter brown, and another darker brown from my stash. I also paired this with Rose Gold cardstock, again, staying away from gold since no gold foil left and I quite like how this looks. The rose gold goes well nicely with the brown.

For my other card I paired this die set with the Be Bold Blooms – these are much larger and create a nice arrangement on the card:

I also used an embossing folder from the Serenade of Autumn collection and embossed it on Brushed white cardstock for a truly luxurious background:

I embellished both of my cards using silver gems:
