Hello crafters, welcome back for another episode of the “It’s a Christmas Season Cardmaking Video Series” for 2021. Watch episode one HERE | Episode two HERE |
In this video, I have a no-stamping mini slimline card with a hot foiled sentiment and lots of die-cut Christmas blooms. This is quite a labor-intensive card, so not something you’d want to mass-produce. But I do have mass-producible Christmas card ideas coming, too. So stay tuned!

CARD DETAILS
This card once again is similar in design to a project shared last spring with Spellbinders floral dies. It features a very simple design – a sentiment at the bottom of the panel and pretty blooms scattered above it.
I used Spellbinders Essential Christmas Greetings Glimmer Sentiments set and I foiled each sentiment in matte gold foil on Spellbinders Glacier cardstock. This particular paper is very smooth and it takes foil perfectly well. I’m yet to try foiling something a little bit more solid on this paper, but overall, it is a good one for general foiling. I know you guys, like me, are on the hunt for great colored cardstock for hot foil stamping – so this one I definitely recommend.
Once my foiling was done I adhered the panel, it was cut to 3 1/4 x 6 1/4″, onto a mini slimline card base. Next, I used Spellbinders Christmas Blooms die set to embellish the card. It is a very mighty die set with loads of little dies and multiple ways to assemble them giving you a lot of creative options. I used the Spellbinders Blooms Paint Palette to help me sort the die cuts and stay organized while I worked on this card.
You can also combine this set with a previously released Mini Blooms and Sprigs set for even more options. I used a variety of cardstock colors from my stash: Lipstick Red, Schoolhouse Red, Peridot, Rainforest, Peony, Gold Glitter, and White.
I adhered the die cuts in place using Bearly Art Glue and some foam adhesive squares. Finally, I dressed this card up with the Spellbinders Gold Mix Gems – I added some onto the centers of the flowers and some onto the background adding a little bit more sparkle to this card.
Have fun crafting!

Absolutely beautiful! I just ordered the three SB sets you used. 🙂
This is stunning!! I’ve been on the fence about the Christmas Blooms dies but I think you just convinced me! 🙂
As always your videos are so informative and fun to watch. I did get one of the trays and I love it! Helps a messy crafter like myself stay a little organized. Your card is stunning & just perfect for that special someone. I love the mat gold and agree although it’s nice to have some bling (but subtle gold is perfect).
This is stunning
Stunning card Yana. I have the Christmas Blooms, but the foiling plates are not yet available in the UK. They are definitely on my shopping list for when they arrive.
Thank you for the amazing inspiration. Truly beautiful❤️
