VIDEO TUTORIAL
As always, I filmed a video tutorial showing how to create this project from start to finish. I’m hoping you’ll enjoy it. Watch it below or on my Youtube channel.

CARD DETAILS
I started working on my cards by foiling the “Happy Easter” sentiment in gold foil on a piece of kraft cardstock. The sentiment plates I used for my sentiment come from the March 2020 Glimmer Kit of the Month from Spellbinders, the Eggsta Special set. There are other sentiment plates in that set that allow you to create various messages, such as Happy Spring, Easter Wishes, Happy Hello, Spring Hello and, of course, Happy Easter.
Included in the Glimmer set are also 3 easter egg dies to cut the foiled Easter eggs out. There are also 3 glimmer plates with various foiled designs. The dies allow you to cut eggs in different sizes and you have 3 sizes. The largest one coordinates perfectly with the foiled Easter eggs, while the 2 smaller sizes allow you to cut just parts of the designs out and have smaller eggs. The smallest egg works perfectly with the bunny die cuts from the March 2020 Small Die of the Month.
Speaking of the bunnies, the Small Die of the Month has 2 bunnies die cuts to create a standing and a sitting bunny. I die cut a bunch of bunnies out of white textured cardstock (I used the card bases from Spellbinders card kits, they have texture to them and that texture is perfect to mimic fur on the butties).
Now let’s go back to the easter eggs. Cutting just parts of the foiled design out with the easter egg dies is what pushed me to use different foil plates to create foiled designs on my Easter eggs. After all, if you think about it, you can foil anything you like and then use that coordinating die to cut it out to a shape of an Easter egg.
I used my Foliage Border glimmer plate and foiled it in gold on white cardstock. Next, I did some subtle ink blending to the foiling and then die cut various easter eggs. I used a combination of yellow and pink ink for ink blending. I used the following ink colors: Ducking, Sunshine, Twirling Tutu, and Hollyhock, all from Simon Says Stamp. I die-cut the smallest Easter eggs from the ink blended border.
Next, I worked on my bunnies. I added pink ear inserts, tail and also created eyes and noses.
I arranged 6 bunnies on the card front – 2 rows of 3. The “standing” bunnies are going to hold two eggs each – a pink and a yellow one. And the “sitting” bunnies are just going to sit next to them. I love the die design, especially of the “standing” bunnies, you can lift their arm and have them actually hold the object. Here they are holding easter eggs, but they can hold carrots, flowers, even balloons if you wanted to make a fun Spring birthday card.
I used foam adhesive squares to adhere the elements on the card. I like to add dimension to my projects and I always tend to pop things up whenever I can. I foam mounted the panel onto the A2 kraft card base, so it is kraft on kraft. And finally used Copic marker, this a warm gray, W1 marker, to add some subtle shading to some of the bunnies. I just followed the cut lines on the die cuts and then using a colorless blender marker to soften the color. It doesn’t add much, but just enough pretty detail to my card.
For my 2nd project, I foiled a pretty frame using a new foil set from Spellbinders from the Modern Essentials collection, Essential Rectangles set. I also used a coordinating rectangle die from the Essential Rectangles set, to cut this panel out.
I die cut a larger bunny from the Large Die of the Month for March 2020 and also foiled additional easter eggs with the custom design; I used medium and small egg dies to cut custom foiled eggs for this card. I adhered everything using foam adhesive.
In case you are new to Spellbinders and their Clubs, the Small Die of the Month, Large Die and Glimmer are all subscription Clubs, those are memberships, available from the Spellbinders website only. This subscription starts at $15 per month, US shipping is included in this cost. Every month there’s a new die set or glimmer set delivered to your door along with lots of inspiration from Spellbinders. If you enjoy die cutting – you’ll enjoy these kits as the designs are always fresh and trendy. I don’t share the projects with the kits every month here on my youtube channel, but I do try and create fun cards using these products whenever I can find the time.
I also added an additional easter egg to the bunny – he is holding it with his cute little arm. I wanted to add some bling to this card, so I used my Fashion Gold dots from FSJ and added a bunch dressing up the eggs and the background on my card.
Have fun die cutting!

Wow, this makes me want all of the kits. I love how you sponged color over the foiling. That is simply beautiful. The bunnies are so sweet and how cool that they can hold the eggs.
I forgot to say I’m not a Spellbinders member yet.
Love the pink, yellow & gold color combo; very elegant.
I’m loving the foil dies. I’m saving up for a Glimmer Hot Foil machine and will probably become a hot foil member.
I love you card! Those bunnies are adorable!
I love those bunnies and eggs! Beautiful cards.
Love your creations! Now I might need to get the large kit and the glimmer kit as well.
Very cute and sweet. Love the touch of inking and foiling.

So cute with the bunnies and I like the foiling.
Oh the bunnies are so cute!
Super cute bunnies and beautiful eggs!
Not a member currently, but I was a member of the card kit for a year awhile back!
Stunning eggs. I would have never thought to die cut shapes out of the foiling. Great idea. Love the card. Elegant but whimsical.
This is a beautiful way
to use the foiling!
Gorgeous!

The foiling is so pretty, thanks for sharing the technique video.
I have watched your Spellbinders tutorials and hope to soon get the Glimmer Hot Foil System. You present the information in an easy to understand manner in all your tutorials. I do subscribe to both the small and large DOMs and love the rabbit faces and poses in this release. Your composition is so cute and the foiling takes it over the top. If an Olympic event you score perfect 10!
These are so cute! And I love the color combo on the Kraft.
Love the use of your recently launched dies with the kits this month. They are beautiful. Thank you for sharing you ideas, tips and designs with the use of spellbinders products. You designs are very inspirational.
Too cute! Love the foiling! Hoping to get a foil kit soon!
