Hello friends! Our Christmas tree is up and decorated (it’s been up since early December), the gifts have been wrapped (and some even unwrapped already). While there’s still time I want to post a last minute Christmas card idea – this one is using Spellbinders dies from the Four Seasons collection by Lene Lok. It’s a great collection that works for all year round projects, not just Christmas or Winter.

CARD DETAILS
This is one of those rather simple and easy to make card ideas. I started working on this card by die-cutting the wreath out of brown paper. I used dot embossed paper from My Colors Cardstock for all of my die cut elements today (I used regular red cardstock for the bow), I love the subtle detail that these tiny dots add to my die cuts.
After cutting the wreath out I placed it on a pattern paper panel and figured out the placement of my sentiment, I removed the wreath and stamped a beautiful Holiday sentiment from WPlus9 in black ink. Once that was done I foam mounted the wreath onto the panel and foam mounted the panel onto an A2 top folding card base.
I also die-cut and embossed additional elements for this card – some leaves out of brown and green paper as well as berry branches out of red. I grouped them into clusters and adhered onto the wreath using glue.
Finally, I die cut a deer and a wreath and foam mounted both onto my card. I suppose you can skip adding the deer, but I simply couldn’t resist!
Lastly, I embellished the red berry die cuts using Nuvo Drops in Morning Dew – this added a nice bit of dimension to this card.

Pretty, festive card. I’m always inspired to make holiday cards this time of year, so have already made half of next year’s cards while in the creative mood. We decorated very early this year, too (Nov 22!). Happy Christmas!
I love that wreath !
Ohhh! I really like this card!!! Very simple and yet very classy looking! I really like the background paper and the stamping on it as well as the die cuts from the dotted paper. Adds subtle texture and interest. Thanks, Yana! I’m going to miss seeing videos and blog posts of Christmas cards … until next year.
Hi Yana,
This certainly doesn’t look like a last minute Christmas card from the detail in it.
I love the subtle dots on the card stock too – would have seen them eventually but so glad you mentioned it in your description.
Also I love the deer too he adds a great focal point to the wreath as his head pokes over the big red bow.
Thank you Yana for sharing your skills with us crafters.
