If I could, I would send each and every one of you, my blog readers, a handmade card! Today’s card is all about celebrating friendship and the card sentiment reads – Thank You For Being My Friend!
If you watched my Simon’s STAMPtember Instagram story takeover back in September you might remember this project – I shared a quick video story showing how to make this card. Excited to share it on my blog today!

CARD DETAILS
I started working on this card by heat embossing a gorgeous Ornate Background in White embossing powder onto kraft cardstock. Next, I did selective coloring with a pink Prismacolor pencil. This is a very beautiful, but busy background so it’s hard to color it all. To highlight just some sections I colored them pink and left the rest as is.
I trimmed my background to 4 x 5 1/2″ and foam mounted onto an A2 white card base. To create a sentiment for this card I picked one from Forever Friends stamp set and stamped it in Smoke ink onto white cardstock, trimmed into a strip and foam mounted onto the card.
Finally, I embellished my card using Nuvo Drops in Gloss White. I paired this card with a pink envelope from Simon and mailed it off to a friend!

very pretty! Would love to get a card like this…
Gorgeous details on the stamp and you have brought them out so effectively! Lovely card it is! And the addition of enamel dots is a great touch! Thank you for sharing with us 🙂
What a beautiful card! I really like how you colored just parts of the background and left other areas “as is”. Such a soft and pretty card. Every time I see a card made with Kraft colored cardstock I stick it in mind to give it a try … but still haven’t tried it! Coloring in just part in pink and allow the Kraft color to come through makes it look like you colored the whole thing (at least it looks like that to me from the photo). Thanks, Yana. I don’t get involved in Instagram or social media so I’m so glad (and appreciate) you shared this card on your blog. Hope you enjoyed your visit with your mom.
So beautiful. Just love the light touch of pink added to the background. Took me by surprise.
So pretty!!
This is such a lovely card! I like the idea of just coloring a few sections of the background 🙂
Such a beautiful stamp and when it’s the main focus it makes for a gorgeous card, like this. You can never go wrong with white on Kraft and the hint of pink is perfect. Simply gorgeous!!
Oh my Yana, this is stunning. I always love white on kraft and with this Ornate background stamp it is even more beautiful! The touch of pink is really elegant on this background. Beautifully done!
Beautiful. I love that background embossed in white on kraft and with just a touch of color.
