Simon Says Stamp | Sprinkle Snowglobe Embossed Card

Hello, friends. Today I have a fun Christmas card created with the Simon Says Stamp Sprinkle Snowglobe embossing folder. I love this design – it embosses a large & tall snowglobe in the center of the A2 panel. Because of the simplicity of this design, you can easily customize it and add to it – I opted to stamp a peaceful Christmas village inside the globe.

CARD DETAILS

When you combine dry embossing and stamping, you need to start by stamping your images. I stamped the Peace on Earth sentiment at the top of the panel (using the embossing folder as a guide for image placement) and Christmas village at the bottom.

I had to do some masking to create the scene – the house in the front, the hills and trees in the back. My stamping was done on light blue cardstock (this is Spellbinders Glacier) as I wanted the card background to have a bit of color. I also tried stamping this same design onto white – it looks just as nice.

Next, I used Copic markers and a white gelly roll pen to color images. Copics worked fine on this pale blue, I used the following colors:

• YG01, YG03, YG17
• W1, W3, W5
• E31, E33, E37
• R22, R24, R27

A Sakura 0.8 white gelly roll pen was used to color the house roof and tops of the hills white and also to add highlights. With the stamping done, I aligned the panel inside the embossing folder and embossed it.

I trimmed my panel to 3 3/4 x 5″ and stamped “May Your Christmas Dreams Come True” at the base of the snow globe. Next, I foam mounted the panel onto an A2 white top folding card base. I wanted to add something else to the card, so I heat embossed several snowflakes from the Snowflake Season stamp set in Gold Glitter embossing powder. I cut them out using coordinating dies and foam mounted onto the card adding a white gem in the center.
