Hello, friends! The weather is getting colder and colder down here and I cannot wait for some snow. I already started to decorate our home for the upcoming Holidays – the tree is up (without any ornaments yet), some gifts have already been wrapped and put under the tree, I’ve put out faux poinsettias – it is definitely starting to look like Christmas. I know it is still early, but time will fly, so I like to start decorating ahead of time.
Today I have a Christmas card to share created with one of Simon Says Stamp’s new embossing folders, I love the new designs and how deep of an embossed look I can get using these.

CARD DETAILS
I dry embossed a panel of light blue cardstock (this is Spellbinders Glacier) with Snowflake Visions embossing folder. To add interest, I sprayed the background with a shimmer spray (the photo doesn’t do it justice, but it shines nicely in real life). I adhered the background onto the A2 white top folding card base.
I used my “Perfect Cardmaking Formula” for a layout for this card. The Diamond Floral Frame was used to house the focal point – I foiled it in Matte Gold foil on Spellbinders Glimmer cardstock and added a light blue diamond on top.
Next, I stamped several images from the Holiday Sprigs set – I adore this set, I’ve shared several cards using it already (see them HERE, and HERE). I stamped outlines with Versafine Onyx Black ink and embossed them in Clear Embossing Powder. I love the raised edge this gives to my images, and also the shine.
I used a coordinating stencil/mask to color the leaves ink blending them with Limelicious and Pearfection inks. As for the poinsettias and berries, I wanted them to look vibrant red, so I used a red opaque pen from my stash (it has been discontinued) and cut all images out with coordinating dies.
To create a sentiment I stamped one from the Snowflake Edges stamp set and arranged my holiday die cuts around it. Everything was adhered in place with the help of foam adhesive to add dimension. And lastly, I embellished my card with silver gems.
Have fun stamping!
