Simon Says Stamp | Scratch Off Stickers Birthday Cards

Hello everyone! The card’s I’m sharing in this post were created using Simon Says Stamp September 2016 Card Kit, the kit is sold out, but many pieces of the kit can be purchased individually. I’m linking to all supplies I am using at the end of this post. Affiliate links used.

This kit is a rather fun and unique one as it includes a set of scratch off stickers and a stamp set with sentiments designed to work specifically with these stickers. I have a few cards to share in this post – all created using using this kit.

IT’S YOUR BIRTHDAY SCRATCH OFF CARD

First up is a masculine Birthday Card with lots of balloons stamped in various shades of blue and blue-green colors from Simon (I have all colors of ink I used listed at the end of this post).

I’ve stamped You Rock and Congrats onto the balloons, heat embossed Scratch Here and also added another hidden message – Happy Birthday.

I also added several puffy stickers included in the kit – I think they go very well together with the stamped balloons.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SCRATCH OFF CARD

My next card is stamped in my favorite color – yellow and features a simple stamped background and a double stamped sentiment for a drop shadow look.

Once you scratch off the sticker you can read a hidden message that says You’re Amazing. I foam mounted my stamped panel onto an A2 top folding card base created using cardstck from the kit and also added a few silver glitter drops by using Nuvo Crystal Doprs, also from my kit.

My tip for Nuvo Drops is to create a bunch of drops in various sizes on a sheet of acetate (this is what I did when I made these cards), let them dry over night and just add to your project using a glue pen as needed; saves a lot of time waiting for the product to dry and eliminates the chance of ruining the card by accidentally smashing wet drops.

IT’S NO SECRET SCRATCH OFF CARD

And finally the last card for today uses a bit of patterned paper as well as Simon’s Stitched Circles & Rectangles dies.

The hidden message was stamped onto a circle die cut and was foam mounted onto a card. I wouldn’t suggest doing this (using foam adhesive) as it makes a little difficult to scratch the sticker off. I’d suggest using a solid layer of fun foam under a die cut if you want to pop it up.

There are several different kinds of scratch off stickers; the ones that work with the It’s No Secret stamp set is the 1″ set.
