CARD DETAILS

Let me start by saying that this is a very simple card to make. I didn’t use any techniques or tricks – I simply stamped a few images I liked, colored and arranged around a big die cut Thanks.

As always, I used Simon’s Intense Black ink for stamping flowers and leaves from the Even More Spring Flowers stamp set (I love this series of floral stamps – they are all so beautiful). For my coloring I went with Copic markers and my usual go-to Copic combos (this reminds me, I really should update this post as I’ve since added a few markers to my collection).

I die-cut florals and leaves out using coordinating dies with the help of my Spellbinders Platinum die cutting machine and also stamped and die-cut the large word Thanks. I used Versafine Onyx Black ink for stamping.

Sending Love, Hugs, and Lots of was heat embossed in Hero Arts Detail White embossing powder (this is my new favorite powder for detailed images) onto Simon’s Black cardstock, trimmed into a skinny strip and foam mounted over the Thanks.

Lastly, I embellished my card using colorful sequins.

  1. What a beautiful card. The colors are stunning. I saved your Copic Marker chart when you published it a while back, and I use it a lot. It has a beautiful combination of colors and is so easy to use. It shows how you can get great results with a small number of markers, and there is no need for a complete set of 300+ markers. I look forward to your update with your newer colors included.

  2. I adore large sentiments, they are such a great image on a design initially. I usually use critters for my other images but I am gradually getting more into floral images watching how you use them to give depth to your card designs. :O)

  3. So beautiful and yet so simple. Often less is more! The untouched white background lets the flowers and sentiment take the focus and the cheery coloured flowers just pop against it. Love it!
