Every once in a while comes a stamp set I can’t put down. I keep using it until I’ve stamped it in every possible way, colored using every possible color combination, and made every card imaginable. Spring Flowers 4 set from Simon Says Stamp is this set for me these days. I’ve already shared a card with pink roses HERE, have a video tutorial coming using it on May 6th, and also have this card to share today. And I’m sure I’ll keep using it to stamp gorgeous rose patterns more and more.

CARD DETAILS
I already had several masks created for the images in this stamp set, I just needed to stamp and cut out a few extra and I was all set to stamp this pattern. I wanted to have a lot of images overlap each other, as you would see in the big rose bush in nature. Using masks easily allowed me to do that – I stamped the main flower, masked it, and added several flower buds, stems, and leaves.
I was inspired by this color combination, or rather this monochromatic look, and decided to color this cluster using just blues. The Copic marker colors I used were B000, B00, B02, B04, and B05. I wish I had darker blues in my collection, but I don’t at the moment (I have very dark blues, from the B90 range, but they are all in desperate need of refilling, I’m waiting for those refills to arrive), so the shadows weren’t as dark as I’d like them to be. I could have used gray markers to deepen the shadows, but I didn’t want to add any gray as that would have dulled the color and I wanted to keep it as vibrant as possible.
I cut the coloring out using a circle die from Spellbinders Modern Essentials set and used coordinating Glimmer plates to foil a double glimmer border. I love using these plates lately, they add beautiful subtle touches of gold foil to my projects.
I also used a set of rectangles (a die + glimmer plates) to create a foiled panel using Fog cardstock. The Fog panel was foam mounted onto A2 white card base, circle panel was foam mounted on top. I chopped a part of the circle panel off to be able to adhere the panel off to the side.
I used Simon’s Sentiment Strips to create a sentiment for this card. I love using them lately – they make it very easy to create quick and fun sentiments (and mess-free!) for my projects.
Finally, I used sequins from several sets (Blue Moon and Sunken Treasure) as well as Sea Glass Jewels to embellish this card.
I love the result and I think I’ll keep stamping rose patterns using this stamp set. I also think I can combine it with the previously released Spring Flowers and More Spring Flowers set for a more varied look. We’ll see.

thank you, Tara! Glad you like it.
This is soooo Beautiful!!!
thank you so much, Maureen!
I absolutely love your work. I am in the process right now of going through your work looking for a card, done in Prisma color pencils, and navy cardstock. It is a design with several poinsettias and greenery by SSS, 2019. That is one of my all time favorites and I want to use those colors on the latest MFT floral release. I remember limepeel, aquamarine and light aqua but there is another green and another darker aqua maybe. I will enjoy looking through your work as I go! I have the floral design embossed in gold on navy paper and have started coloring. Thank you ever so much for all you do.
