Hello there and thank you for stopping by! I’m excited to share a few quick copic colored Easter & Spring cards made using Simon Says Stamp New Beginning release stamps. In case you haven’t yet seen this release you can check it out here (I also have links at the bottom of my post).

One of my favorite sets from this release is the Spring Seeds one (by the way, my goal is to share projects ideas using nearly all new stamps if not all, so stay tuned!). Being fond of 4 Bar cards lately I have found images from this set to be perfect in size for the focal point of a 4 Bar card.
If you are visiting my blog for the first time or have not yet subscribed – be sure to do so! I share lots of handmade projects every week delivering them straight to your inbox! I also occasionally share information about crafty sales and new product releases I love. Subscribe here.
CARDS DETAILS
I used my mini MISTI stamp positioner and Simon’s Intense Black ink and stamped three of the four images from the Spring Seeds stamp set onto white paper. I knew I wanted to do Copic marker coloring, so I used Simon Says Stamp 120 LB paper and intense black ink as those are my go-to supplies for coloring with alcohol markers.
I picked just a handful of colors for my coloring (check out My Favorite Copic Marker Color Combos post to see color combinations I use most often), I’m listing all colors in my supply list below. After my coloring was done I cut each image out using a coordinating die in my Platinum 6″ die cutting and embossing machine.
I knew I wanted to foam mount these onto kraft paper (I find kraft to be especially suitable for Spring projects) but I also wanted to stamp some sort of a background.
I pulled a few of my 6×6 cling background stamps and white pigment ink and stamped a bunny background (sadly, that background stamp is discontinued) and also a diagonal stripe one.
This handmade card uses Nuvo Drops as a final touch. Want to see 4 other ways you can use Nuvo Drops from Tonic Studios in card making? Check out this article – 5 Ways to Use Nuvo Drops.
I also wanted to stamp a gingham one, but I couldn’t find my stamp (funny enough I found it the minute I finished making my cards). I left my panels overnight – pigment ink takes a long time to dry and I didn’t want to mess up my backgrounds.
After foam mounting kraft backgrounds onto white 4 Bar note cards I added natural twine and foam mounted my colored and die-cut pieces on top. I also used Nuvo drops in Green Apple and English Mustard to add several accents.
