Hello, friends! There’s a new release from Simon Says Stamp called Good Luck Charm with lots of fresh crafting goodies. My favorite new set is the Printmaking Plants. It is a very cool one, with a different take on stamp layering.

CARD DETAILS
The Printmaking Plants is a 5 piece layering set. The cool thing about it is that layers don’t overlap, but rather complement each other. This gives you more freedom when using various ink colors as you don’t have to worry about the inks changing colors when you layer them.
I used 4 colors of ink to stamp these plants – a light and a medium green to stamp the plants and yellow and pink to stamp the pots. You also have a 5th layer which is an outline and you can use that to add a black (or some other color) outline to your plants, or use just the outline and color the plants with Copics, for example.
I skipped using the outline on the card above, for a softer look. The card below uses all 5 layers including the outline stamped in black (it was heat embossed in clear embossing powder).
While the stamp set creates a cluster of plants, it doesn’t mean you can cut individual plants out – that’s what I did for this card. I fussy cut 3 of the plants out and popped them up with foam adhesive, added a C3 Copic marker shadow for some interest.
The sentiments I used for these cards come from different stamp sets, Well Wishes for the first card, and Clean Line Stacks for this card.
To add color to these cards I used some of my previously made abstract backgrounds (watch my video tutorial here for the how-to on these backgrounds) and foam-mounted stamped panels on top. Lastly, I embellished the cards with several sequins.

Beautiful cards and as inspiring as always. Happy Birthday and enjoy your celebration and vacation!
This is my favorite set of the new release. I hope they will come out with dies for these. Your cards are beautiful!
I am so at a loss with this new release. I don’t know what to buy first and now these sentiment sets are calling out to me. The printmaking plants are great as well. I love the some of the punny sentiments in the plant set, too. You rock, Yana! Your talent really knows no bounds. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!
These are so cool … this was my favourite from the new release too
It is amazing how different the outline vs no-outline looks are! Great way to change things up! Love your color combinations!
These are Gorgeous!!
so lovely
The detail in the shamrocks really defines the leaves. I can feel the inspiration bubbling in my brain after seeing the big shamrock stamped card. Gorgeous!
