Simon Says Stamp | Printmaking Houses for Christmas

I love the Printmaking Houses stamp set from Simon Says Stamp. The way these are illustrated is very appealing to me, but then again, I am such a fan of stamps with house images in general.

CARD DETAILS

The Printmaking Houses is not a Christmas set, but I added some holiday imagery and turned it into one. I skipped stamping the solid house and roof colors and simply did the outline in Antique Gold embossing powder. To add shading, I used a C10 Copic marker. I also used a yellow pencil and added “light” to some of the windows.

I had this idea of draping Christmas lights over the houses, so I used the smallest lights I could find in my stash, from the Winter Scene stamp set, and added some colored green and red. I also wanted to add tiny Christmas wreaths, I used one from the Christmas Town set.

The sentiment was heat embossed in white under the houses, it comes from Cathy’s Holiday Silhouettes set and lastly, I added snow using a white gel pen.
