VIDEO TUTORIAL – MONOCHROMATIC STAMPED FLORAL PATTERNS
I filmed a video tutorial to show you how these cards came together. Its very easy to stamp patterns like these and I encourage you to give them a try. Watch video below or on my Youtube channel:
Like this video? Please give it a big thumbs up and share with a crafty friend! Drop me a comment too, I love hearing from you!
CARDS DETAILS + COLOR OPTIONS:
I stamped four patterns in pink, yellow, mint and purple colors. I used at least 4 colors of ink for each pattern + Antique Gold embossing powder to heat emboss the sentiment.
Even though I used mostly dye inks to stamp these floral patterns, other types of inks can also be used, such as hybrid and pigment inks.
- Pink colors of ink used: Rosie Cheeks, Teeny Bikini, Apricot, Sunkist and Twirling Tutu.
- Yellow colors of ink used: Duckling, Sunshine, Melon, Apricot and Golden Locks (Hybrid).
- Mint & Blue colors of ink used: Lake Shores, Mint Candy, Spring Rain, Surf Blue and Cloudy Sky.
- Purple colors of ink used: Hot Momma, Doll Pink, Thistle and Wisteria.
All of my stamped patterns were trimmed with the help of Simon’s Basics Rectangle die (I used 2nd largest) and foam mounted onto A2 top folding landscape white notecards.
I followed Jennifer McGuire’s tip and instead of using foam adhesive squares I went with fun foam. I didn’t have any in white color so I matched the color of fun foam to the color of stamped pattern for a fun pop of color (you can’t really see it there, I die cut the foam sheets using 3rd largest rectangle die from Simon, so foam layer ended up being a step smaller than stamped panel).
I wanted to keep these cards very simple and flat too, so I only added one clear droplet to each – I adhered it under the sentiment with the help of a quickie glue pen.

MAMA ELEPHANT TINY NINJAS CARDS
I mentioned I have a LOT of projects to share today – there are 3 more cards I want to show you created with the help of Mama Elephant Tiny Ninjas stamp set. I fell in love with this stamp set the minute I saw it as it is ideal for masculine cards. I struggle with masculine cards, check out THIS Birthday card for my hubby, so I feel this stamp set is a good one to have in my stash.
For my first card, You Snuck Your Way Into My Heart I stamped all ninja images in Hero Arts Charcoal Ink. To turn this into an shaker, I die cut an opening in my stamped panel with the help of Simon’s Stitched Circles die, adhered a layer of acetate and foam mounted this over a Distress ink blended background. For the shaker elements I used Pretty Pink Posh clear stars confetti. The sentiment, You Snuck Your Way Into My Heart, was heat embossed in WOW White embossing powder onto black cardstock and was foam mounted onto the panel. I also used clear sequins and droplets to embellish this card.
For my second card, That Means Thank You, I first heat embossed ninja images in clear embossing powder over black ink onto Distress Watercolor Cardstock. Next I blended several colors of Distress inks and added water and finally I heat embossed the sentiment in white embossing powder. This is a very simple one layer card.
For my last project, You Can Do It, I stamped ninjas in several colors of ink onto a white cardstock panel. The main ninja was stamped in black, I also used Willow, Slate, Scuba and Mint Candy.
The stamped panel was adhered onto a black card base and the You Can Do It sentiment was foam mounted using black foam tape. Just like with the first ninja card (and many other cards of mine), I used clear sequins and droplets to embellish this card.
