Hello! Today I have simple stationery style Christmas card and tutorial to share featuring products from Simon Says Stamp Fun & Festive October 2018 release.
Stationery style cards, in my world, are very simple and clean cards that are almost one layer. The only thing that makes them slightly dimensional is a sentiment strip that is popped up using foam adhesive.

VIDEO TUTORIAL
As always, I filmed a video tutorial showing how to create this project from start to finish. I’m hoping you’ll enjoy it. Watch it below or on my Youtube channel.

CARD DETAILS
For the card I’m sharing today I used Mod Trees background stamp and clear heat embossed it on Green Apple cardstock. Next, I used several colors of ink and ink blended the background to make it blue or more of a blue-green color. I used Navy by Hero Arts, Deep Sea by Simon and High Dive also by Simon.
Next, I stamped a simple Holiday Hello sentiment in black ink onto white cardstock strips. This sentient comes from a new Tiny Words Christmas stamp set and I have to say – I was having a brain freeze because they are just soooo many different sentiments in that set and I couldn’t pick one. I ended up choosing the first one I had my eye one, but I am really looking forward to using all of them on my cards at some point. The size of these is perfect for my cards, the font is awesome – it’s like the best tiny sentiment stamp set for Christmas you can wish for.
I used thin foam adhesive and foam mounted the sentiment strips onto the background. Lastly, I used a white pen and added snow like highlights onto a few trees.
Simon has a ton of other holiday products just released, many of them are perfect for simple cardmaking, the kind that I love lately and I’ll be sharing more inspiration using their products soon, so stay tuned!
