Simon Says Stamp | Meowy & Bright Catmas

Remember I said I LOVED this stamp set? The minute I got some free time in my craft room this week I used it to make another kitty card. What can I say, I love cats and I love stamp sets that portray them funnily and mischievously.

CARD DETAILS

Aside from the Meowy Catmas, I also used another stamp set from this series, an older one, Right Meow. The Right Meow set is another favorite of mine, I haven’t used it for a while, so it was a good excuse to pull it out and give it some love. I stamped 3 cats in Intense Black ink on white cardstock and colored using Copic markers.

I used my go-to Copic colors for coloring:

• E79, E37, E33, E31;
• R89, R39, R27, R24

Next, I cut the images out using coordinating dies. To create a card for these beauties I adhered a panel of red cardstock to A2 white card base and die-cut a circle window.

Next, I heat embossed a sentiment on the front that reads “Wishing you a meowy and bright catmas”. For the inside of the card, I used a panel of Soft Navy cardstock and covered it with tiny hearts made using texture paste and Simon’s Holiday Sweater stencil.

I foam mounted the cats on the inside of the card making sure they were well visible through the die-cut window on the front. Lastly, I used a white pen for some last-minute accents.

I love the way this card turned out and I love this design in general – the die-cut window, the use of different colors on the outside and the inside of the card and, of course, the simplicity of the design.
