Simon Says Stamp | Jungle Encouragement Card

Hello, friends! I was so excited to finally get my hands on the new Simon Says Stamp Tropical Leaves stamps and dies! I really love these type of images and couldn’t wait to ink them up!

These are color layering images (for the most part) and that makes them so much more unique! I love the fact that they still look awesome even without the second detail layer, so if you aren’t really into color layering – you can still use these.

Now if you are staying away from color layering images because you don’t have enough colors/shades of ink – don’t worry! Here I used a gray ink pad for the detail layer on green leaves – and it turned out awesome! I want to test using gray as a top layer some more to see if its going to work every time.

I stamped a bunch of leaves and cut them out using matching dies. For the sentiment, I went with Be Confident, Be Brave, Be Amazing and heat embossed it in Simon’s Antique Gold embossing powder onto a white die cut created with the help of the new Stitched Banners dies.

There is plenty of dimension here – I popped up a lot of leaves and also the banner and some images using a double layer of foam adhesive.

To make the leaves pop I used a dark card base, I went with brown this time (instead of usual black) and I love the way colors look a lot more vibrant here. I embellished the card with a few clear drops and sequins.
