And wine! I love this “I Only Need Two Things: You & Tea (or Coffee)” sentiment from Simon’s Coffee And Tea stamp set but I wanted to combine it with the funny corkscrews from the Wine Aerobics set so I had to pick a different word and so I went with the obvious – wine! CARD DETAILS

I started working on this card by heat embossing 3 corkscrew images from Wine Aerobics set in white embossing powder onto pieces of colored cardstock. I went through my stash and picked little bits and pieces of cardstock – this is a great card design to use up those little leftovers.

I used my mini MISTI and always kept the position of images identical (you can also do this with a clear block – just make sure not to re-mount the stamps when you go from one color of cardstock to another), this helped me die-cut these images much faster as I only needed to align my dies once, tape in place and for every next cardstock piece I just have to re-tape dies onto the paper without the need to alight everything again. Hope this doesn’t sound too complicated as it really was very simple to do.

I trimmed a white cardstock panel to 4 x 5 1/4″ and arranged my die cuts – I started in the middle and worked my way out filling the entire panel. After I was happy with the placement I used foam adhesive squares and foam mounted each element on my panel. I trimmed the excess and adhered the background panel onto an A2 top folding card base.

To create a sentiment I picked the following: “I only need two things: you and” from the Coffee and Tea set and “Wine” from the Time for Wine set (I cut my stamp apart so that I was able to use just the word wine). I stamped all in Versamark ink onto black cardstock and heat embossed in white embossing powder. Using black foam tape I foam mounted it onto my card.

Having a black heat embossed sentiment and lots of colorful corkscrews felt a little weird (too colorful in a way), so I use my Nuvo Drops in Black and added a number of dimensional dots onto the background. This seems to have done the trick!

I want to make this card again, but do simple black ink stamping instead of white heat embossing for the corkscrews. I think that would also look fun.
