Hello there and welcome! Thank you so much for stopping by today to help celebrate Simon Says Stamp From The Vault Blog Hop. Simon and Lawn Fawn are bringing back with From the Vault: Merry Christmouse stamps and dies. These were extremely popular their first time around (during STAMPtember 2015) and I am very happy to see these products back in stock. I personally missed this stamp set last year so I was very eager to play this time!

VIDEO TUTORIAL
I’ve filmed a video tutorial where I am sharing everything in detail. You can watch it below or on my Youtube channel.

CARDS DETAILS
I decided to make a few simple and silly cards to mail to my friends who have a nice sense of humor. I started by stamping images from the Merry Christmouse stamp set in Simon’s Intense Black Ink onto white paper. I used my mini MISTI stamp positioner as I wanted to double stamp them and have perfect black outlines.
I used a few colors of Copic markers are quickly colored these. The colors I used are:
After cutting my images out using coordinating dies I started working on my background. I used my regular size MISTI, Sea Glass cardstock panel and Diagonal Stripe 6×6 cling background stamp and heat embossed beautiful white stripes.
For my Naughty or Mice card I heat embossed sentiment in Simon’s Antique Gold embossing powder onto vellum, wrapped vellum around the panel and adhered it onto an A2 top folding card base. I also foam mounted my images and added some red and white bakers twine to finish the card.
For my Merry Christmouse card I cut a banner out of Schoolhouse Red cardstock, foam mounted it onto the heat embossed panel (I already had it adhered onto a card base) and foam mounted my images on top. I also stamped “Have A” in Lipstick Red ink onto a strip of cardstock and foam mounted over the sentiment. To hang the stockings I adhered little pieces of red and white twine.
Lastly, I added a generous amount of Star Dust glitter glue from Ranger and some clear Wink Of Stella glitter pen.

Oh my gosh, this is absolutely adorable! So glad this one is available again.
LOVE these cards! So whimsical and cute! I love the red banner card better, but both are great! I love to make funny cards… I have a harder time making ‘serious’ cards. Guess that’s why I adore Lawn Fawn so much…
Oh, Yana, these are so stinkin’ adorable!! Love the layers of Merry Christmice all over!
Love your projects!
awww I love those cutie pie mice 🙂 they are adorable and I love your creations. Thanks for making a tutorial and sharing.
Cheers
Preety
so cute. Love the mouse just peeking out on the banner card!
I love making funny cards, but I think you have to know who will appreciate them and who enjoys more sentimental cards. Thanks for sharing
I, like you, like the banner card better. But, the little upside down mousies are too cute. I try to match the cards to the personality of the recipient. And with my friends I make a lot!
I cant believe I made another purchase today! i thought I had every stinking thing that is out!
super cute cards!! and yes I think whimsical/fun cards are fun to make and give 😉
I love funny cards, but I admit I tend to lean towards flowers and other girly stuff. I ordered the Christmouse set today, so maybe I will send out funny cards next year – you inspired me!
I love the mice in the stocking! So relieved to see this set was re-released! Missed it last year but won’t this year!
Just love these mice! Thanks for sharing
I think the funny cards are fun to make, but I need to up my supply of funny stamp sets.
So very cuuuuute!!
I love making little scenes, and especially cards with funny little quips!
Yana, your cards are so darling!!! I like to make funny cards with punny sentiments. I think it makes people smile and laugh which is so good for the soul!
Very cute mice and cards. Thanks for sharing.
Absolutely adorable! I really like the vellum band, but those stockings with the mice in them are SO cute 🙂
So fun! I do enjoy giving funny cards, specifically to those who I think will truly appreciate them!
I think I like the naughty or mice card better, but they are both great! I love funny cards and there are some really great stamp sets out there for this. Thanks for sharing your video!
Love all that delicious red Yana!
I love to make funny playful cards. Everyone I give them to adores them especially the guys when it’s interactive.
Love the ideas!!
Fantastic cards, Yana! Love the colors you chose and your clean lines.
I love making punny cards and sending them to people who I know will get a kick out of them.
I love making funny cards, I think that bringing a smile to someone’s face is one of the nicest things anyone can do! The upside-down mice on your fabulous cards certainly make me smile! X
OMG. Sooooo cute!!!!!
I like each card but I really like the one with the red banner. Good as always.
Thanks,
Erica K.
wow love your card thank you for sharing
I do like making funny cards and I have found them to be well-received. Love yours! 🙂
Both cards are wonderful, but I think I like the one without the banner better. That soft striped BG really makes the mice the star of the card. I do love to send funny cards – especially to kids.
I love the dark red behind the die cuts, but I really like the layout of the other card so — tough call but adorable mice and stockings. Cuteness.
So so darling & your cards bring it to life!
I love your cards!! Love funny cards but I don’t think I’m funny enough to create them. Yours are phenomenal!!
I love both of these cards! Yes, I do like creating funny cards – hopefully the people who receive them appreciate the humor!
Those cards are precious. I love them both, but I think the banner card is my favorite. I would love to send funny cards, but my supplies don’t include any comical stamps. This set might be my answer.
I love these cards! So cute! I love the mouse popping from the top such a cute touch! I love making punny and funny cards!
I like funny or punny cards but most people I send cards to are more into elegant, classic or shabby cards. So I really don’t have many of that type of sentiment.
Oh I love those cute mice, and the “naughty or mice” sentiment is so funny! I don’t often make funny cards as most of my friends enjoy receiving the more traditional kind. Thanks for sharing!
So adorable! These mice and your card is fabulous!
I love to make funny cards!! It’s a nice change from all the flowers I make! You cards are just adorable!
Adorable and love all the reds in the card
Love your cards with the red against the striped blue background!! I have just started making some fun cards with punny sayings!!
Love the card!!! Yes I love making funny cards and so far everyone has loved them. Thank you for sharing.
ADORABLE!!! I like the one with the red banner the best, but the vellum is spectacular as well.
Awesome card, so so cute!
Yes, funny cards are FUN! I love mice at Christmas
Don’t know that I’ve made a funny card, but I like to leave big smiley faces when I write cards to folks and I’ve heard they do like that. Love your cards!
These cards are so cute. Love the adorable mice and the fun sentiments.
I love those mice, so cute!! Adorable card!!
