Hello friends, we are safe and doing okay. It seems the air raid sirens have become part of everyday life and there isn’t a day without the siren. There’s an interactive map that shows which part of Ukraine is under alert (red = alert, darker red – longer alert, cream – no alert, white – no info), you can check it out here. Things are calm right now as I am typing this post. Last night the map was all red.
My today’s card is a Mother’s Day project. I haven’t made one yet this year and I wanted to get started on one for my Mom, plus on additional cards for friends for their Moms.

CARD DETAILS
This card is pretty simple. I opted to stay away from black sentiments and stamped my main sentiment, from the Mom Word Mix 2 set, in pretty Melon color. Next, I stamped a variety of flowers from the Bold Flowers stamp set in various colors of Simon’s Pawsitively Saturated inks, I love these inks – the formula, the color, the ease of use, everything!
I opted to add black flower centers for a lot of contrast. Typically I stamp these flowers so that the center is white, but I wanted to change that this time and added black.
The background was created using my current favorite technique – abstract backgrounds on synthetic paper (watch THIS video to learn how to make a background like this). I clustered my elements together around the sentiment and added a few gems to finish this card.
I don’t have much else to share, other than everyone is okay. We keep busy every single day with donation requests, work, volunteering, delivering humanitarian aid, etc. Life has certainly become different since the war started, but life goes on. Big hugs and humongous thanks to you all!
