Hello friends! I have a new card and photo tutorial to share featuring latest products from Simon! Ever since I saw this video by Cathy on Simon’s blog using the Line Dance stencil (Cathy did one of my favorite things to do with a stencil – dry embossing!) I’ve been inspired to give this stencil a try.

CARD DETAILS
It took me some time to come up with an idea that I though was worth sharing and finally I turned it into a card! If you take a look at this stencil you’ll notice a bunch of geometric shapes. A lot of circles in particular. Seeing those circles inspired me to combine the stencil with the Circle Saying stamp set from Simon.
I started working on this card by blending two colors of ink – Sunshine and Doll Pink onto Neenah Solar White cardstock with the help of Tonic blending brush (I’m loving these brushed lately). I overlapped the ink in a few spots to create a hint of orange color. I tried to contain my blending to the circle shapes for the most part, but I did go “outside the lines” a bit.
Next, I used sentiments from the Circle Saying stamp set (this is such a classic set – it’s definitely a must have!) and white heat embossed various messages inside or outside the ink blended circles. Because I picked white embossing powder the heat embossed sentiments ended up looking like a part of the ink blended background.
Next, I pulled out my Bold Blooms floral set and stamped a few flowers and leaves using same colors of ink plus Willow. I cut them out with the help of coordinating dies and foam mounted onto my background. At the same time I trimmed my background slightly and adhered onto an A2 white card base.
For the main sentiment for this card I white heat embossed “Seriously. You are flipping amazeballs” and “You da best” from the Emphatic stamp set from Cathy Z for Simon. I ended up embossing those onto brown cardstock as I still have no black paper to play with (fingers crossed my box with cardstock arrives soon) and I embellished my card with clear drops by Nuvo. The drops are still wet on the photos so that’s why they do not appear clear.

Love this Yana. Its funny that I was recently thinking about dry brushing too but I haven’t had time to actually do it. This is really beautiful. You have really inspired me once again.
Gorgeous Yana, what a fantastic idea to blend your inks and then heat emboss a pattern on top. You inspire me every time I watch one of your video tutorials, thank you. :O)
