Hello friends! Ever since I discovered how relatively easy it is to make ink blended galaxy backgrounds with Distress inks I was hooked (see additional examples on my blog HERE, HERE and HERE). I want to try to make a Galaxy with my watercolors, but I haven’t yet had the chance to sit down and really try, but that is on my to-do list for sure.
Today I have a card created using Simon’s Look For The Miracles stamp set with an ink blended galaxy sky. I think this sentiment and this type of background compliment each other well and work beautifully together to create a meaningful card.

The colors of Distress ink I used to create this galaxy are Mustard Seed, Peacock Feathers, Seedless Preserves and Dusty Concord. I used my mini ink blending tools to blend the colors onto Tim Holtz watercolor cardstock, added drops of water and also drops of white watercolor from my Gansai Tambi set.
The sentiment, Look For The Miracles, was heat embossed in WOW Bright White embossing powder directly onto the panel, I also embossed branches coming out from the top left and bottom right corners and also a few dots. I feel the dots helped to make this card a little bit more magical. Believe it or not, this is a one layer card without any sequins, drops or any other dimensional embellishments I usually use.

Just incredible! Such a amae background! It shines like a real Galaxy (not like I saw any, but they do like this in sci-fi movies).
