Simon Says Stamp | Floral Thank You Card

I never have enough Thank You cards (I give a lot of them away as little “thank yous” nearly every week) so a few days ago I decided to stamp several extra to have on hand. I wanted to share one of those cards here.

CARD DETAILS

I used one of Simon’s gorgeous floral stamp sets – Many Thanks (I think this was a WPlus9 STAMPtember collaboration stamp set a few years ago) and stamped a floral pattern using several colors of ink. I was inspired by this print I saw on Pinterest and wanted to re-create it on paper using stamps and inks.

I used Fog and Stone ink colors to stamp gray flowers and leaves. For my yellows I went with Duckling and Sunshine and to stamp pink flowers I used Teeny Bikini and Twirling Tutu. I adore this stamp set because there’s just no wrong way to line up these images. No matter how you stamp them – they always end up looking fabulous.

This background didn’t look like much until I added bold black accents using Versafine Onyx Black ink – I stamped flower centers, leaf details and also some random dots in between the flowers.

The block Thanks sentiment came from the Happy Block Greetings set and was double stamped using mini MISTI and Teeny Bikini ink.

I trimmed my stamped panel down to about 3 1/2 ” and foam mounted it onto an A2 top folding Smoke card base; I also added a narrow strip of yellow to the right hand side. Lastly, I embellished my card using clear droplets in small and medium size.
