Hello, friends! It’s the 14th of the month and it means it’s time for new card kit from Simon Says Stamp (more about the kit and kit subscription below)! This kit is a fabulous one for Christmas cards! If you like the cute and darling Doodlebug style – you’ll love this kit!
I very much loved the papers, stickers and the stamp set included in this kit and made 5 cards! I feel there’s nearly an endless number of adorable scenes one can stamp using the Claus family and pets that are included in this month kit.
FROM OUR SQUAD TO YOURS CARD
The cat and dog images from this month stamp set are just darling! I usually struggle with coloring when it comes to animals, but I was able to color these no problem! I picked a few grays (C1, C3 and C5) and browns (E37, E33 and E31) Copic markers to color them as well as red markers to color their collars and Christmas hats.

I stamped the tree, cat and dog, colored them using Copics and cut out using scissors. Next, I arranged them to form a little scene and foam mounted onto a white cardstock panel. I stamped a sentiment that reads: From Our Squad to Yours, Merry Christmas and added a piece of red and white patterned paper. I foam mounted this piece onto an A2 white card base covered with patterned paper from my kit.
ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS COOKIES AND YOU
Being a cat person I couldn’t resist stamping a card with just a cat! I used same colors of markers for my coloring (tree was colored using YG99, YG95 and YG93).

Once again I used patterned paper from my kit to cover the card base, although this time I trimmed my paper to 4 1/8 x 5 3/8″ and also used a leftover red brick piece from a previous card.
My next card features the same sentiment and a Christmas tree. I used Colorful Confetti sequins from the kit as ornaments on my tree (and also to cover up my coloring mistakes). This card is an A2 one.

CHRISTMAS IS CLAUS FOR CELEBRATION
My last 2 cards are 4 1/4 square and 4 Bar size projects. I couldn’t resist using the “Claus” sentiment and therefore stamped both Santa and his wife. I foam mounted gingerbread cookies to make it look like they are holding them.

Now it’s your turn! What will you make using this kit from Simon?

Cute cards and tags!
Adorbs. The last two – Mr and Mrs Claus are my fave.
Beautiful fun cards 🙂 Thanks for sharing 🙂
I really like the background papers you used for these cards. The milk and cookie paper goes so incredibly well with the stamp!! Fun cards! By the way, I’ve been falling in love with polychrome pencils — thanks to you! I just bought a few more colors yesterday. I like them more than the prisma pencils, which is rather funny to me because I was so reluctant to use anything other than my much beloved prisma pencils!!!! Now, I only want to use the polychrome!!!! Thanks for the intro to something new!! I so appreciate your blog posts and videos. Thank you!!
Such adorable cards!
Oh my how sweet are these, oh my godness, too cute for words!
I’m so glad you made Mrs. Claus a younger version! If Santa doesn’t age, then neither does his Mrs. Claus! I don’t get that they are always so old. At my age I wouldn’t be able to manage all those elves and the big trip no matter how much I wanted to so it seems more realistic for them to be younger.
Darling cards. I cant wait to get my kit. The images and papers/stickers are so cute.
Fabulously cute cards!! Love the use of the patterned papers. You don’t see a lot of that anymore. I use patterned paper often in varying amounts. Sometimes the whole card is covered and there’s several layers and other times just little pieces. For those of us that aren’t the best at stamping, colouring, and watercolouring it allows us to make an array of cards too – from beautiful to cute and everything in between.
