Simon Says Stamp | Count Our Blessings Card

Hello friends, I’ve been very busy during STAMPtember making cards, filming videos and simply having lots of fun with all the new goodies, I hope you’ve been enjoying them too! I’ve shared a ton of projects on my blog during this month, but I still have a lot to share, so I’m hoping you’ll enjoy a few more STAMPtember projects from me over the next few days/weeks.

CARD DETAILS

I started working on this card by heat embossing the “Good Reading” background in Gold Embossing powder onto Distress Watercolor paper. Next, I blended several colors of Distress inks (listing all below in my “Supplies” section) and sprayed the panel with water to activate the ink. I blotted some of the ink off and adhered my panel onto an A2 card base.

To create the focal point of this card I heat embossed a leaf from the Fractile Leaves set in same gold embossing powder onto a sheet of vellum. At the same time I heat embossed a lovely sentiment that reads “The Move We Count Our Blessings The Move We Have To Count” in white embossing powder onto a black cardstock strip.

I foam mounted my sentiment onto the vellum panel and used it to hide the adhesive that was used to affix the vellum panel on the card.
