Hello there! Do you enjoy funny and clever cards? I love them! Especially if there’s a unique sentiment that goes along with. I have funny Birthday Fishes card to share featuring a few rows of hilarious-looking fish.
CARD DETAILS
I used fish images from Simon’s Best Fishes stamp set and stamped a number of fish using Intense Black ink onto Fog cardstock panel cut to 4 1/4 x 5 1/2″. I used Copic markers (I went with my favorite color combos) and colored fish using a few colors – green, teal, yellow and orange. I also stamped black solid fish and black air bubbles in between the fish to somehow fill in the space.
I wanted to add a pop of white so I colored fins using a white gel pen – I love how white pops against this light gray. I also added a few dotted detail to some of my fish.
“May All Your Birthday Fishes Come True” is the sentiment I used for this project (you might remember my Christmas Fishes card using the same set – can’t get enough of it!). After I foam mounted my panel onto an A2 top folding card base I add some dimension and detail to the card by using Nuvo Drops in Morning Dew and filling in the fish eyes and also air bubbles.
I’m thinking about making a bunch of these cards but changing up the colors of the fish. Would you enjoy receiving a card like this?

Charming and cute cards. Anyone would love to receive a card like these! I like the idea of making several of them and just changing up the colors of the fish.

Love this card Yana! I really like how you use older stamp sets. Sets that we might have and bring them back to life again. So much of what we see on line are stamps sets that we don’t have…. yet and it just makes us want want want, when we already have so much in our stash that we could use.
