Hello, friends! I took a few days off work and I am busy-busy enjoying my mini stay-cation! Didn’t go anywhere (didn’t plan to), but rather stayed home with hubby and enjoyed some much needed time to ourselves!
You might have caught a few of my instagram stories (you need to be a follower to see stories) over the weekend having fun with paints and making new photo backgrounds. I’ll share more about them here on the blog soon.

CARD DETAILS
Anyhow, today I’d like to share a card I made using Simon’s Abstract Triangles background. I was happy to read so many wonderful comments about the cards I shared last week using Tonic’s Nuvo Glaze – they inspired me to make something else and coat it with glaze for a unique dimensional look.
Since I’ve never used Abstract Triangles stamp before (can’t believe it!) and because I love all things abstract I picked it for my background. After heat embossing this image in Hero Arts Gold embossing powder onto Distress Watercolor paper I colored it with Nuvo Aqua Flow pens. I shared a video tutorial using those a few days ago HERE – I loved them so much I wanted to play with these some more.
After I finished painting I trimmed it and adhered onto an A2 top folding card base. To create a sentiment I stamped one that says “Believe It And You Will“. I love sentiments like this, so encouraging! I stamped it in black and foam mounted onto my card.
Finally, I highlighted many of the shapes using Nuvo Glaze.
A few of you asked how is it different from Glossy Accents? The end result is pretty much the same, but the application is what I find different/easier. I haven’t had problems with the nozzle getting clogged in my Nuvo Glaze, it feels more liquidy, thus flows easier/faster. I like both products, Glossy and Nuvo Glaze, but find latter easier to apply.

very cool design!
Great stamp and love the water color and nuvo.
The geometric triangles stamp looks to be a good one for creating backgrounds with so many coloring possibilities. Thanks for sharing this card and the comparison of the glaze with the glossy accents.
Good Morning ;))
