Hello all and thank you so much for stopping by today to help celebrate Simon Says Stamp “Believe in the Season” Holiday release. There are lots of great products included in this release that will help you jump start your holiday (and everyday) cardmaking.

I am very much inspired by non-traditional Christmas colors lately, and aqua being one of my favorites colors made its way onto this simple Christmas card.
I used my regular size MISTI and stamped the Holiday background in Simon’s embossing ink onto a panel of white cardstock. I added white embossing powder and heat set it to melt. I used two colors of Simon’s dye ink to add color and did a resist ink blending technique. I started with High Dive at the bottom and Spring Rain at the top. I’m not going to lie, this background was heavily inspired by Laura Bassen.
I am also in love with the new Poinsettia stamp set. They are like snowflakes, you can never have too many! I stamped it in Simon’s Intense Black ink onto X-press It Copic Blending paper and colored using several Copic markers. There are coordinating dies available and I used them to cut my images out.
I foam mounted the poinsettia and the leaves onto the ink blended panel which I had previously adhered onto an A2 top folding card base.
I didn’t want to add any additional sentiment as the background says it all. I did however add a few small and medium clear droplets from Pretty Pink Posh as little dew drops to finish this card.

I love the blue ombre background with that word stamp – the card looks wonderful. I love that swirl stamp and how it looks like tree trunk ends – it makes for a wonder non traditional winter card, and a masculine card too.
