Happy Sunday everyone! The month of December starts tomorrow and I’m feeling very excited about it. My December album is almost ready and I can’t wait to start filling it in with photos and stories.
I’m also joining the December Memories Inspiration Blog Hop from Gossamer Blue to help you find inspiration for your album.
This year Gossamer Blue offers a fantastic kit full of beautiful and modern products to help you build your own album. Here are a few photos of the products from the kit:
I have already started working on my base pages, I left my cover as it for now, I might go back to it later and dress it up a bit, but I like the way it is at the moment.
As for the base pages I’ve decided to focus my album more on story telling rather than photographs. I was struggling with my last year’s album as I didn’t have enough photos and therefore didn’t finish my album (you can only take so many photos of your cats or your coffee or your laptop – and this is pretty much it for me).
This year I plan to focus more on stories rather than pictures. I did set aside a few areas for photos, I’d like to include one or two large 6×8 photographs in my album, the rest should be much smaller, probably 3×4.
I did incorporate a few products from the Get Happy Collection from Gossamer Blue into my album – I used a few stickers, enamel dots (you can never have too many of these!), number wood veneer and pockets.
I love that this kit incorporates a lot of the non traditional photos. Not everything is going to be red, white and green during December, so its nice to have a bit of black and pink and other colors too.
Another thing that I loved about this kit is sequins. I do have a ton of sequins in my stash, but its also nice to have some more, especially those cute stars – I love filling some of the page protector pockets with these for a fun touch.
I’ve also included awesome gold paper bags in my album (a smaller one is tucked into one of the page protector pockets at the end of the album); I can aways use these for some extra memorabilia like receipts and things like that.
Here are a few more photos of my base pages, I’m not going to show you all as I don’t yet have all of them ready, but hoping to get a few more done tonight. Enjoy!

Awesome Album Yana! Great supplies, love what you did with it!
The album is great!I love it!
So pretty!
