I used a colored background for my card and picked a sheet of dark purple cardstock is cut to 4 1/4 x 5 1/2”. To stamp the spooky tree patterns I used VersaFine Onyx Black ink, one of my favorite black inks for simple stamping like this. To stamp the pattern I started in the bottom left corner and stamped the trees one by one forming rows. This panel will have 3 rows of trees with about 3 trees in each row. You can also stamp the same pattern on a landscape card if you want.
Next, I heat embossed Happy Halloween sentiment in white embossing powder on black paper, cut it to a thin strip and foam mounted to the card. One of my favorite ways to add interest to a colored cardstock background such as this one is with the help of a white pen. Here I used Sakura White Pen in size 0.8 and colored the ghosts handing from the tress. It’s a bit of tedious task, but I love adding details like this so to me the process is rather enjoyable.
I made the other cards in a very similar way. Minimal stamping and barely any coloring. While these cards turned out a bit too simple, I still like them. Sometimes it’s nice to take a break from all that complexity and do some very simple stamping.

What a great idea to add those “eyes”! And I really like the drop shadow in white idea. Appreciate your ideas for keeping a card simple. Hope your trip went well and that you had fun!
I love the cards. The eyes are such a great idea. Thanks for the video. You always come up with something awesome. A great way to use the tree stamp in such different ways.
