MFT Guest Designer | Make A Valentine Wish Card

Hello all! This is my 3rd post for the My Favorite Things Sketch Challenges as a Guest Designer for January 2016, you can see the first one here and the second one here.

I rarely make shaker cards, but I thought I would give one a try this time. I used Stitched Heart STAX die to partially die cut a heart in my white panel. I added a layer of clear plastic, some foam adhesive and turned this into a little shaker.

I also stamped, watercolored and die cut one adorable little monkey and added a simple Make a Valentine Wish sentiment for my card. The Wish word was heat embossed in white onto a piece of Arches watercolor paper colored using pink watercolors (the same that I used for the monkey’s outfit).

The little monkey was adhered directly onto my white panel, while the Wish word was foam mounted to create some extra dimension.
