Hi everyone! I’m quickly popping in today to share a card I created for the August 2014 Gallery Challenge from Paper Crafts & Scrapbooking magazine.
The challenge is to use some sort of a clip on a card. To tell the truth, I was a bit puzzled at first, but after I flipped though the August 2014 issue Paper Crafts & Scrapbooking magazine I felt immediately inspired to create. There are some lovely cards inside the magazine with all sorts of clips.
So here’s is the card I made – I went with the black, white and yellow color combo and love theme.

I used a fantastic Valentine Wishes stamp set and matching dies from WPlus9. This is a beautiful “building” set with some nice complimentary images.
To create the yellow stripes on my background I used Simon’s large background stripe stamp and stamped it in Sunshine Yellow dye ink. I did mess up my stamping a bit, but I was able to cover it up with the help of the beautiful images I stamped in black in the opposite corners and with the help of gray twine from Doodlebug. You can see that messy area below.
Of course I added a little black wooden peg to my card – right at the top of my die cut wreath. I also included a few black enamel dots as little accents on my project.
