Well, friends, here it is – the biggest, the bestest, the most anticipated month in the stamping community – STAMPtember by Simon Says Stamp!
I’m happy to join the party with a Christmas card featuring two new stamp sets and a simple, anyone card do it, design. This is my go-to thing when I don’t feel like doing traditional coloring.

CARD DETAILS
I heat embossed the new Poinsettia Background stamp (can we pause for a second and just admire how gorgeous it is?) in Antique Gold embossing powder on Schoolhouse Red cardstock. To fake the dimension on the background I used C5 and C7 Copic markers and added shading to the background outlining the poinsettias. It was so easy to do, yet it looks like the flowers are popped up on the card.
Next, following my happy accident recently, I cut the panel into 2 parts making a diagonal cut towards the bottom. I foam mounted each panel onto A2 white card base. To create a sentiment I used a new Inside Christmas Greetings stamp set, heat embossed it in the same Antique Gold embossing powder on white and foam mounted on the card.
Finally, I felt like this card could use some extra simple coloring and that’s when I decided to use a gold shimmer pen from Jane Davenport (you can also used Tonic’s Midas Touch pen, but it has less shimmer) to color one of the flowers gold. I love the result! It is just filled with gorgeous, shimmering goodness. Lastly, I embellished the card with clear droplets.
