Hello, friends and welcome back for another “It’s STAMPtember!” post! This time I am sharing an elegant heat embossed card using Pretty Pink Posh Exclusive stamp set – Damask Greetings.

I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do for this project and I didn’t really know where to start. I love damask designs and I really wanted to make something spectacular using this set.

CARD DETAILS

I had a Sea Glass heart die cutting sitting on my desk – a left over from a previous project so I decided to heat emboss it with the largest damask design from my set. I used clear embossing powder and embossed the design repeatedly making sure not to have it centered on the piece. The heart die cut, by the way, was created using Spellbinders Hearts dies.

Next, I moved onto Antique Gold embossing powder and white cardstock and heat embossed same design in 4 partial rows. I used a clear block with gridlines to help me align my stamping and make sure it is straight.

I foam mounted my white partial background onto an A2 side folding card base, foam mounted a heart on top (I cut it to make it a partial one, too) and finally added a simple “Congratulations” sentiment on top.

I paired this card with Sea Glass envelope for a perfect match

I couldn’t resist adding a few Nuvo Drops in Duck’s Egg blue as little accents to complete this project.

  1. What a pretty color combination. I like how you brought the background pattern onto the heart using clear embossing powder. Great idea for a wedding or anniversary card (themes for cards I don’t do a lot of). Thanks, Yana!

  2. Oh my, Yana….this card is simply elegant. That gorgeous blue combined with the the gold Damask on the background make this one stunning card. Thanks so much for sharing your love of paper crafting and I hope you have a wonderful weekend. ~HUGS~
