It’s STAMPtember! | Gina K Exclusive – Warmer With You

Hello, friends and welcome back for another “It’s STAMPtember!” post! This time I am sharing a small 4Bar size card created using Gina K exclusive collaboration stamp set called Warmer With You.

This set is a perfect one to create Christmas cards to send from “our family to yours”. There’s a snow-Mom and snow-Dad as well as a snow-girl and a snow-boy – so you can depict your own family members using these adorable images.

CARD DETAILS

Since it’s just me and hubby in our family I stamped, heat embossed and colored just two characters – him and her. I stamped images in Versafine Onyx Black ink onto white cardstock and heat embossed them in clear embossing powder. I planned to color these using Copics and whenever there’s an image with a rather thin outline like this one I prefer to heat emboss it to make it harder for the marker to go outside the line (and mess my coloring up).

I used just a handful of colors and colored scarfs, hats and mittens with R39, R24 and R22 markers, used C1 for the bodies and YR04 for the noses/carrots. I cut my images out using scissors and set aside while I worked on the background.

The trees background is also included in this stamp set (it actually is a larger 6×8″ set) and it is sized perfectly to fit the front of a 4Bar card (3 1/2 x 4 7/8″), I’m sure it also works perfectly well for an A2 card, but I wanted to make a smaller project this time.

I used one of my older cards as an inspiration for the background (see it here) and stamped trees using my MISTI and Hero Arts Ombre Green Ink pad. This resulted in a beautiful transition of color from dark green at the bottom to a light green at the top.

I foam mounted “him” and “her” on top and added a simple sentiment “From Our Family To Yours”.

To spice my card up I also used a few products from Tonic – Glitter Accents as well as Nuvo Drops in White and Red Berry.
