Hello friends! I am finally back to my usual self after the Creativation show last week. The apartment has been cleaned, laundry done and folded away, new cardmaking goodies neatly stored in a “I want to use this soon” basket. The show was a blast and it’s definitely something you would want to attend next year.
Today I wanted to share a fun wobble Birthday card created using a few old and new goodies from Hero Arts. Ever since I discovered wobble springs last Fall I’ve been drawn more and more to creating fun interactive cards. You might remember my Winter Penguin card and a Pretend Peacock card – both use wobble springs.

Usually I place a wobble spring under a certain element only (such as a critter), but for this card I placed it under entire front panel. This card is much smaller compared to my regular A2 cards, it measures 4 1/4″ square. The front panel measure about 3 1/2″ square and wobbles freely for an unexpected WOW factor.
I started working on this card by stamping mouse and cat from the Playful Animal set (Hero Arts also released those images in a woodblock format, see end of my post for product links).
I used Hero Arts Intense Black ink which is alcohol marker friendly and colored images using my Copics (see My Favorite Copic Color Combos post if you’d like to learn what Copic Color I use most often), I’m listing the colors I used below. I also used coordinating dies and cut images out using my Platinum 6 die cutting and embossing machine.
To stamp a sentiment I used Celebrate! It’s Your Day from the Birthday Celebration stamp and also Let’s Get Fizzy from the Cocktail Party stamp and coordinating die set. The beer mug placed in between the animals also came from that set.
I used foam adhesive to pop the critters up on my card and to dress them up a bit and give them some fun personality I used a moustache and sunglasses images from the Ohh La La set.
To finish this card I added a few bright enamel dots using Nuvo Drops in English Mustard and Ripened Pumpkin.
